At Paws on the Hill, we’ve created a daycare experience that’s more than just a playdate. Our focus is on giving dogs a safe, structured space where they can socialise, build confidence and learn through play.

Throughout the day, we incorporate foundation training games and activities into playtime to enhance your dog’s experience. Led by a qualified Guide Dog Trainer with over a decade of experience working with animals, you can feel confident knowing your dog is in good hands.

More than just a play date!

We focus on fostering healthy social interactions by helping dogs learn how to engage with others appropriately. Whether that means helping puppies to read social cues—like recognizing when other dogs need space, guiding overexcited dogs to settle and play politely or helping shy dogs build confidence.

Our daycare operates on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, catering to small groups of dogs to ensure personalized attention and a calm, enriching environment.

Located in Glenorie, Paws on the Hill services dogs across The Hills Shire Council area - with pick-up and drop-off included in all bookings!!

  • To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all dogs, the following are required:

    • Complete a FREE in-home assessment before booking.

    • Be social with both dogs and people—no aggression or resource guarding.

    • Up-to-date vaccinations (C5) and flea, tick and worm prevention.

    • Be desexed if over 6 months of age.

    • Live in The Hills Shire Council Area

  • This relaxed meet-and-greet is your chance to get to know us and ask any questions about our daycare services to ensure we’re the right fit for your dog.

    We’ll visit you at home, meet your dog, and answer all your questions. Then, we’ll take a short walk around the neighborhood with you, your dog, and our resident Labrador, Ryan, to observe how your dog interacts in a neutral environment.

    If we’re the right fit, we’ll complete enrollment and you’ll receive access to our daycare booking system.

    • Pick-ups: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM

    • Drop-offs are between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM

    On the day of your booking, you’ll receive a text message confirming 30-minute window of your dog’s pick up/drop off. This lets you know when to expect us and helps ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • If you’re not home during pick-up or drop-off times, we’ll need to arrange safe access to your property.

    We’ll go over these arrangements with you during the assessment to find the most secure and convenient option for you. For example, you might leave a key in a lockbox or use a coded lock on a side gate.

    Your dog’s safety and your property are our priority, so we’ll work together to make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • Yes, we absolutely accept puppies! As long as they’ve received vet clearance for their vaccinations, they’re welcome to join us.

    Our structured environment is the perfect place for puppies to develop social skills, build confidence, and grow more independent—all while having fun in a safe and nurturing space.

  • Yes, we use food throughout the day to help reinforce good behaviour and support our training games.

    If your dog is on a special diet, please provide any necessary treats or food for them to have during the day, so we can accommodate their needs and ensure they stay happy and healthy.

  • Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are our top priority. If they become unwell or injured, we will contact you immediately to discuss the best course of action.

    We have an emergency driver available at all times, so if your dog requires urgent veterinary treatment we will transport them to the closest vet clinic.

  • Unfortunately no, as our daycare is located on private property, there is no public access.

    We understand you may want to see the space before booking, so we’re happy to arrange a virtual tour for you so you can feel confident knowing your dog is in a safe environment.

  • No, we do not offer overnight boarding or holiday care. Our focus is solely on daycare and training. However, we’d be happy to recommend trusted local options for boarding and care if needed
