The behaviour consultation is all about setting you and your dog up for success. In this session, we’ll take the time to discuss your dog’s history, routine and any issues you're experiencing. Together, we'll identify potential causes and solutions, and design training strategies that fit into your lifestyle.
While we'll cover some basic training techniques during the session, the majority of our time will focus on understanding your dog’s behavior and getting to the root cause of the issues. We know there’s a lot to take in, but don’t worry—we’ll guide you through every step at a comfortable pace. You’ll receive a tailored training plan within one week, complete with step-by-step guidance to help you reach your training goals.
We also recommend scheduling a training session 1–2 weeks after your consultation. This will allow us to check in, assess how things are going, and offer practical coaching as you start implementing your plan.
Our goal is to ensure you're confident and successful in your dog’s training journey!
*NOTE: In cases of moderate to severe anxiety or aggression, we will refer you to a veterinary behaviourist for further behaviour intervention.

Training sessions are all about putting your dog’s training plan into action and making sure everything is progressing smoothly. During these sessions, we’ll review the changes since our last meeting, track your dog’s progress, and troubleshoot any challenges that have come up—making adjustments to the plan as needed.
These sessions are focused on supporting you with the practical aspects of training, whether it’s coaching you through sessions during walks or in the home. Our goal is to build your confidence and help you establish consistency, turning the training into lasting habits for both you and your dog.
Each training session is a chance to ask questions, refine techniques, and make sure you feel fully supported as you continue the training process. We’re here to ensure that you're confident, comfortable, and seeing the results you want.

Every dog is unique, and so is their training journey. The number of sessions you’ll need depends on your goals, the specific behaviors you’d like to address and how complex they are.
For simpler training goals, one or two sessions might be enough, while more challenging behaviors could take 5-6 sessions to fully work through.
Most clients find that 2–3 training sessions provide the right amount of support to build their confidence, make consistent progress, and see lasting changes. We’ll work together to determine the best plan for you and your dog, ensuring you're supported at every step of the way.
-
The time it takes to see results depends on several individual factors, including your dog’s personality, the behaviour you’re working on and how consistently the training plan is applied.
During the behaviour consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, expectations and a rough timeline for behavior changes, but progress will depend on your dog and how the plan is put into practice.
We recommend scheduling a follow-up 1–2 weeks after your initial consultation, and then again about 3-4 weeks later to help you stay on track. These follow-up sessions allow us to assess how things are going, make any necessary adjustments to the training plan to help you meet your goals. It’s all about fine-tuning the plan as we go so we can help you achieve the results you’re looking for.
